Dr. Ronald Emond founded Candlewood Equine in 1985 as a solo equine practitioner providing mobile veterinary services in Connecticut and New York. His growing expertise in theriogenology led to the expansion of a referral reproduction clinic at our present location in Bridgewater, Connecticut. Here we provide routine and advanced fertility services and in depth diagnostics and management for the mare and stallion.
We also offer both farm call and in-clinic services including preventative health, lameness, dentistry, surgery and advanced reproduction.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality care to both our clients and patients. Maintaining the optimal health and well-being of our equine companions is a team effort, and knowledge of medicine and treatment is constantly evolving. We work with experts, farriers and owners to provide education, service and compassion for everlasting relationships with our patients.
